H2 Hawkins + Hawkins Architects, Inc. is a client-focused firm rooted in integrity, client collaboration and high quality design. Founded by brothers David and Steven Hawkins in 1998, H2 Architects is Grand Gold Nugget Award winning firm with offices in San Diego, CA and Gig Harbor, WA with licenses throughout the west coast to include CA, WA, CO, NV, TX and AZ. While the firm specializes in architectural design for commercial, cultural, residential, and mixed-use projects, services also include site planning, programming, feasibility study, master planning, space planning / tenant improvements, construction management and LEED sustainable design.

H2 shares the goals of the U.S. Green Building Council and recognizes the importance of transforming the buildings in our communities into healthy, prosperous environments that improve the quality of life for its residents. Our LEED accredited project teams are staffed by well-trained and experienced professionals directed by the Project Architect and Principal-in-Charge.  An example of our green design is the class “A” North Island Credit Union Corporate Headquarters in San Diego, California; a 130,000 square foot facility which received LEED Silver certification. 

H2 has been honored with numerous design awards, most recently, we received both the 2014 San Diego Orchid and the 2014 Builder's Choice/Custom Home Magazine Grand Award for an adaptive reuse project in the Bankers Hill area of San Diego.   Additionally, H2 has received nine Gold Nugget awards of Merit and two Grand Gold Nugget Awards for outstanding design from the Pacific Coast Builders Conference;  the 'Home of the Year’ award from San Diego Décor Magazine; a custom residence featured on the cover of the ‘San Diego Home & Garden Magazine’; and accolades for both custom residences and commercial projects in Sun Coast Architects & Builders Magazine, Best of American Remodeling Magazine, The Moscow Architectural Journal, the San Diego Union Tribune, the Los Angeles Times and the San Diego Daily Transcript.
