Front Street Homes is “A very creative setup that redefines what’s possible on a 50-by-100-foot lot, this years Grand Award winner combines inspired architecture and creative floor plans to set a high standard for city living”, stated the Gold Nugget judges when awarding H2A its prestigious title.

Front Street Homes consist of three, four-story attached homes located on a narrow infill property overlooking the city and the bay. The landscaped motorcourt provides a comfortable transition from the street and a sense of community. This concept provides each home with individual privacy while still capturing the panoramic views.

Each home, with approximately 1,900 square feet, has a two car garage and entry at level one. A circulation stair leads up to the level two bedrooms, level three living/dining/kitchen area, and continues up to level four, the master bedroom suite and terrace. The floor-to-ceiling window at the living space is positioned to capture the city and bay views while providing necessary daylight and solar comfort. The architecture is contemporary modern in form with white stucco massing, Rheinzink metal siding, frosted glass garage doors and aluminum framed windows and doors. Long, angled overhangs provide shade control and directional form. Cut face masonry at level one identifies the base and provides terraced landscaping.

This challenging design created three private homes on a 50’ x 100’ lot while simultaneously providing a feeling of individuality and neighborhood.
